 IT's ALL ABOUT LIME - CUBA LIBRE

HISTORY

Invented in Havana in 1902, the Cuba Libre symbolizes Cuba's newfound independence from Spain.

The Cuba Libre is first thought to have been invented in the American Bar, Havana. The year was 1902 and Cuba had just won independence from Spain after the Spanish-American War. All around, soldiers were singing, dancing, and drinking, with chants of ‘Cuba Libre’ or ‘Free Cuba’ filling the air.

RECIPE

Light Rum               - 45 ml

Fresh Lime Juice     - 10 ml

Coca Cola               -  Fill

Add ice in highball glass , add Light Rum + fresh lime juice and top up with coca cola and garnish with lime wedge.

TIP - For person on a diet regular coca cola can be  replaced with diet coke.
