According to Wikipedia, Legend has it that Donn Beach originally concocted the zombie to help a hung-over customer get through a business meeting. The customer returned several days later to complain that he had been turned into a zombie for his entire trip. Its smooth, fruity taste works to conceal its extremely high alcoholic content. Don the Beachcomber restaurants limited their customers to two zombies apiece because of their potency, which Beach said could make one "like the walking dead."
Recipe
- Light Rum: 1 oz (30 ml)
- Dark Rum: 1 oz (30 ml)
- 151-proof Rum: 1 oz (30 ml)
- Lime Juice: 1 oz (30 ml)
- Pineapple Juice: 1 oz (30 ml)
- Orange Juice: 1 oz (30 ml)
- Grenadine: 1 tsp
- Falernum: 1 tsp (optional- Falernum is a Caribbean drink made with ginger, lime, almond, cloves or allspice)
- Angostura Bitters: 1 dash
Add all the ingredients in Boston shaker, shake well & pore it into Tikki glass over Crushed Ice and garnish with Mint Leaf & a Maraschino Cherry.
Tip- Contains lot of Rum, so more than 2 cocktail can make u a Zombie. (Pun)
