TEQUILA SUNRISE

The drink is believed to have originated in the 1930s, when Gene Sulit, a bartender at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, combined tequila, soda water, lime juice, and liqueur.
The modern version of the Tequila Sunrise was created in Trident bar in Sausalito, California, in early 1970s. The drink is now an official IBA (Intentional Bartenders Association) cocktail.
